Several DU faculty and staff members joined Kathy Keairns from the Office of Teaching & Learning and Carrie Forbes from University Libraries on October 9, 2013 for a roundtable entitled, “Is there an app for that? iPads for teaching & research.” Rafael Fajardo from the School of Art and Art History shared his favorite apps for sketching and annotating (Paper, Penultimate, PlainText) and David Thomson from the Law School shared how he was using Airplay and Apple TV to project his iPad in class wirelessly. Chris Brown from the University Libraries shared some apps (Browzine, Mobile Databases, PocketCloud) available for reading, browsing, and research.
All of the apps shared by the presenters as well as those recommended by the audience members are available on this google spreadsheet. If you have a favorite app, please feel free to add to this online resource!
