Teaching and Learning Day Keynote: Cultivating Learning: Capitalizing on the Science of Learning

What are some key lessons from cognitive psychology and the science of learning about how people learn? Professor Regan A. R. Gurung introduces a different approach to viewing learning, reviews main factors influencing learning, and discusses methods to change it using evidence-based research. 

Professor Regan A. R. Gurung is the Ben J. and Joyce Rosenberg Professor of Human Development and Psychology at the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay. He is a dedicated teacher and has strong interests in enhancing faculty development and student understanding.  Regan is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Psychological Science, and the Midwestern Psychological Association. He is the founding Co-Editor of APA’s journal SoTL in Psychology.
