The University of Denver is committed to supporting all of our faculty members in their teaching. Even if you have taught elsewhere, or have experience here at DU, we want to provide you with the most current information and resources so that you can make a strong start to your DU teaching career.
What is the Teaching@DU Workshop?
The Teaching@DU Workshop was designed for all DU instructors (full time faculty, adjunct faculty, graduate teaching instructors). The workshop introduces faculty members to DU and the resources available to them, as well as provides an overview of the latest best practices in higher education pedagogy and educational technology.
The workshop is offered online in our course management system through a series of five online modules. It is self-paced and can be used when needed as a resource containing the latest information about teaching at DU. If your department requests that you “complete” the workshop, you will need to submit the unit quizzes and reflection assignments.
How will the Teaching@DU Workshop benefit me?
If you are in a new part-time teaching role at DU, even if you have taught elsewhere, this workshop is designed to provide you with an overview of the various resources available to help you achieve your full potential as a DU instructor. This workshop is designed so that you spend time on the aspects most relevant to your needs.
