The browser won&#8217;t work if it is downloaded from a different link.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\">Info for Students<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">The first time you take a quiz that requires this, you will be directed to a link to download the browser. You must then start up the browser, log back into Canvas, and take the quiz.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/web.respondus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/RLDB-QuickStartGuide-Instructure-Student.pdf\">Student Quick Start Guide<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\">Info for Faculty<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">To set up a quiz in Canvas that requires students to use LockDown Browser, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">1. Make sure the quiz has been deployed in the Canvas course. (<a href=\"https:\/\/community.canvaslms.com\/docs\/DOC-12943-4152724267\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">How to Create a Canvas Quiz<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">2. From the Course Navigation in Canvas, select <strong>LockDownBrowser<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">3. A list of quizzes in the course will be displayed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"padding-left: 40px\">\u203a Quizzes labeled with <strong>Required<\/strong> require students to use LockDown Browser.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"padding-left: 40px\">\u203a Quizzes labeled with <strong>NotRequired<\/strong> do not require students to use LockDown Browser.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">4. To change the settings, select <strong>Settings<\/strong> from the context menu to the left of the quiz title and select the desired option.<\/p>\n<p>You may additionally require that LockDown Browser be used to view quiz feedback and results.<\/p>\n<p>Optionally you may create an access code that students must enter to start the quiz. Exams can be created offline using a familiar Windows environment, or moved from one LMS to another.
