Install the free program called Kaltura Capture. Go to your Canvas course and click <strong>My Media<\/strong>. You will see terms and agreement statement, click the checkbox after you have read the statement.<\/p>\n<p>3. Click on the Windows or Mac links to start in the install process on your computer. You only need to download and install it once. Press <strong>Open Link<\/strong> or <strong>Accept<\/strong> to open up <em>Kaltura Capture<\/em> recording software. Note: if you are using a PC, you will see a slightly different message.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<blockquote><p>If you can not install or open <em>Kaltura Capture<\/em> on your computer, please take a look at these instructions:<br \/>\n&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/otl.du.edu\/knowledgebase\/kaltura-can-not-install-kaltura-recording-software\/\">Can&#8217;t install software on my new Mac computer.<\/a><br \/>\n&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/otl.du.edu\/knowledgebase\/kaltura-video-not-playing-in-canvas-3rd-party-cookies\/\">I get an error message saying 3-party cookies are not allowed<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>4. After you have installed the software, the application will open up. Turn on webcam and microphone. Make sure to <strong>Turn off<\/strong> your desktop recorder for small group interview videos.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2129\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2129\" style=\"width: 2100px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/otl.du.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/01\/Kaltura_Capture_Webcam-2.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2129 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/otl.du.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/01\/Kaltura_Capture_Webcam-2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"2100\" height=\"1241\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2129\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Disable your desktop recorder when doing an interview video. Make sure your webcam and microphone are turned on.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Note: Increase the input of your micrphone by adjusting your audio settings. Make sure that the webcam is capturing all the people that need to be in the video. The webcam should be between 5-10 feet away.<\/p>\n<p>6. Press the big red button get start recording, you will see a 3-second countdown. Speak load so that the audio is well captured.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> Do a 30-second test recording first to make sure the audio and video sources are good.\u00a0 A local copy is saved by default, and you can play the recording back before you upload it.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>NOTE: If you are interviewing someone, you must inform them that the video might be shared with others as part of the class assignment. Press <strong>Save and Upload<\/strong> to save your video.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>After a few minutes of uploading and processing, your recording will be able in your Canvas My Media section.<\/p>\n<p>Note: Depending on your Internet connection and the duration of your video, this could several minutes.
