Microsoft OneDrive can now be integrated into Canvas! OneDrive <\/span>contains<\/span> a feature that allows Canvas to integrate seamlessly with Canvas assignments, bringing <\/span>S<\/span>peed<\/span>G<\/span>rader<\/span> and OneDrive files together for easier grading.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Create a Cloud Assignment<\/h3>

Cloud assignments are <\/span>an easy way<\/span> to create an editable template for students to<\/span> add to, change, or build upon.<\/span> You can create an online assignment <\/span>with a<\/span> Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or Excel file <\/span>embedded <\/span>directly from <\/span>the OneDrive Cloud<\/span>. When students open the <\/span>embedded file<\/span>, a unique copy of the document is created and added to the student\u2019s OneDrive folder.<\/span> They can then edit and <\/span>submit<\/span> the shared file with their changes included. These submissions can be viewed by instructors in <\/span>SpeedGrader<\/span> for grading ease.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

To Create a Cloud assignment:<\/h4>

Step1: Navigate to Assignments<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Step 3: Create your assignment, then scroll down to the Submission Type options. Step 5: You may be prompted to login to OneDrive using your SSO information. Once logged in, you will see a pop-up box called \u201cLink Resource from External Tool.\u201d A list of files you have created in OneDrive should appear. Step 6: Return to the assignment, make any final adjustments, and click Save and Publish.<\/p>

IMPORTANT:<\/strong> Once a Cloud assignment has been published, you should NOT make any edits or changes to it.<\/strong> Making changes to the assignment will create and share a new document with students. This means that if any students have attempted work within the previously shared assignment, they will lose their work.<\/p>

Once the assignment is published to students, they can click \u201cEdit Document\u201d to make changes to the attached file. This will open in a new tab, and once they are done editing, they need to return to the assignment page and refresh the page to see their changes reflected. When students are done editing and are ready to submit, they can click \u201cSubmit Assignment\u201d.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
