This page contains example language for three criteria in our Educational Technology Review Rubric (ETRR). The criteria are what data is being collected, who has access to that data, and what technical supports are available.

This information does not apply to any OTL or DU policies. This information is strictly to be used for guidance around reviewing educational technology for data privacy concerns.

What Data Do We Collect?

Baseball Cap will not sell or rent Your Personal Information to any other party and will only use and disclose Your Personal Information for the purposes for which it was collected as described in this Privacy Policy.

You agree that Baseball Cap may disclose Your Personal Information in the circumstances set out below:

  • If You are a student, Baseball Cap may disclose Your Personal Information to Faculty and administrators at Your academic institution, including Your teachers and teaching assistants as required for the provision of the Baseball Cap Services;
  • If You are a student, Baseball Cap may disclose “directory information,” defined as information contained in an education record of a student that would not generally be considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed, such as name, identifier, email address, phone number, and enrollment status. 
  • Baseball Cap may disclose Your Personal Information with Your prior consent, or the consent of Your parents if You are under 18 years old;
  • Baseball Cap may be required or permitted by law to disclose Personal Information without Your consent in the event of emergency situations or when required by law, government, valid legal process, or other legal authority

What Data Do We Collect?

Depending on who you are, we collect:

  • Contacts – such as your name, email address, billing address.
  • Interaction Information – meaning information on how you use the Services and your system activities (dates, times, and details of log-on and log-off including information on your history with Mile High; technical data such as page response times, download errors, personal preferences; your interactions with the customer service, etc. 
  • Device Information – e.g. IP address, user agent, browser settings, operating system and platform, and screen resolution. We may, for example, use an IP address received from your browser or device to determine the approximate location. 
  • Third-Party Information – we may use third-party sites and third-party platforms as well as publicly available information to collect and add some information to the information provided by you in order to give you relevant communication (for marketing purposes). Examples of collected information are additional work-related profile information. Uses cookies to provide you with relevant content based on your interaction with Mile High. We may use cookies to help us deliver marketing campaigns and track their performance. Our partners may use cookies to provide us with information about your interactions with their services. The use of these third-party cookies is subject to the policies of the third-party vendor.
  • Additional Information – means other information, when and to the extent submitted to our Websites such as additional information you choose to provide when creating or modifying your Account or if you, for example, participate in a focus group, contest, request support, leave reviews, or otherwise communicate with Mile High. Examples of such collected information could be a profile photo or your job title and phone number if you decide to provide us with that.
