This article is designed to guide you step-by-step how to set up quizzes in your Canvas course. This will be especially helpful as DU is encouraging faculty to be PIVOT Ready by having course content online. You can also use this feature for your online exams, including final exams that are required to be online for the Fall 2020 Quarter. The following images were retrieved from the Canvas Community Guides for Instructors, which are another great resource when building your quizzes in Canvas.

Regardless of the question name, students always see quiz questions in numerical order (i.e. Question 1, Question 2).
Note: You do not have to change the red-outlined box from Question. This is not where you will type the question you are asking students to answer. You can simply leave this box as is OR label them as Question1, Question 2, etc.
Select Question Type,
In the question type drop-down menu, you can create the following types of quiz questions (Note: the links will redirect you to the Canvas Community Guides for Instructors):
- Multiple Choice
- True/False
- Fill-in-the-Blank
- Fill-in-Multiple-Blanks
